About the Tour
Rights & Democracy has invited Mr. Gabriel Shumba, President of the Zimbabwe Exiles Forum (ZEF) and Mrs. Tudor, a Zimbabwean Human Rights Lawyer, for a Canadian tour. The objectives of the tour is to give the opportunity to Mr. Shumba and Mrs. Tudor to meet with Canadian government, private sector, and civil society representatives to discuss their present work in South Africa and Zimbabwe and how Canada can encourage change in Zimbabwe.
The Zimbabwe Exiles Forum (ZEF) is an NGO registered in South Africa. ZEF as a non-partisan, not for profit organization that was formed in 2003 to help victims of torture and other abuses who have fled Zimbabwe for fear of prosecution. Its central focus is the recording of evidence of abuses, humanitarian and legal support for refugees. The Executive Director of ZEF is Mr. Gabriel Shumba.
