Summary of round table
Global Citizens: Definition, Responsibilities and Solidarities
This round table is intended as an opportunity for participants at the Nantes Forum to come together, reflect upon and discuss the notions of global responsibility and solidarity with regards to the observance of and respect for human rights. More specifically, the Rights & Democracy Network (Rights & Democracy) is inviting participants to celebrate and support the commitment by youth to assume a share of these responsibilities and, through their local actions, and in their capacity as global citizens, to constitute the driving force behind these solidarities. That, in short, is the perspective that the proposed round table contributors, including the youth participants themselves, will bring to the discussions regarding the definition and construction of a global citizenry that favours and promotes human rights.
