The Network delegations at Glendon College and the University of Ottawa will be hosting representatives of the 2009 John Humphrey Award laureate, Iraqi human rights organization La'Onf. Mr. Ibrahim Ismaeel, Chair of the Board, and Ms. Saba Jabbar, Programmes Coordinator, will be describing the history of non-violence and peace movements as well as the rights of women in Irak.

This year, the Human Rights Day will be an opportunity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The theme will be “Dignity and Justice for all of us”.
