This year, the Human Rights Day will be an opportunity to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
“On 4 December 2000, the General Assembly, taking into account the large and increasing number of migrants in the world, proclaimed 18 December International Migrants Day (resolution 55/93).
“By resolution 58/220 of 23 December 2003, the General Assembly decided to declare 19 December, United Nations Day for South-South Cooperation.
This day was created to remind the fight against poverty and the importance of solidarity to our leaders.
