The twinning initiative is consistent with the perspective of a long-term commitment and lasting partnership between Canadian and international communities belonging to the Network. Its objectives are as follows:
- Allow participating students to develop their skills in order to integrate best practices and cutting-edge expertise with respect to cooperation and development.
- Create forums where students from twinned universities can work together to determine the priorities and issues that, in their opinion, merit further study and concerted action.
